Where do most of you buy or sell your websites?

Where to go if you are looking to purchase a website with a large monthly income?

What is considered the top 10 sites for qualified domain or website sales?

Ept103, I keep running into the same problem. People seem to confuse the two. To me, sedo is a place for domains, not sites. Sorry, vfilip.

I'd be interested in suggestions others have for finding sites. Personally, I use DMOZ. As their directory is so out of date in places you can pick up sites that were once very good but have been neglected in the last few years. It's a time consuming process to find potential sites, email the webmaster etc. but I've found one or two good sites that way. They tend not to be big money earners unless you apply some TLC first.

Well, how about if you were trying to sell a site? (not just a domain) that had monthly income? Would you go and contact people directly? hire a broker? put a for sale listing on the site? With this kind of info I could reverse the process and get some ideas.

People tend to offer them in webmaster forums. That's for the lower priced $20 templates or the, often, rubbish $200 sites. The serious ones go to a business broker but there aren't any I've found who are any good at websites. They are unable to appreciate what gives a website value. You have 200K subscribers to a double opt-in ezine? 16 listings in DMOZ? PR8? #1 position in SERPS for mesothelioma? What does all that mean?
