How much do Auto insurance agent get commission per policy. Let say $1000 premium per year.

I'm not an agent, but I strongly suspect there's no one size fits all answer because there are so many varibles.

The type of policy, the coverage limits (a few dozen to a few hundred factors all on its own), the deductible (ditto), the company, the tenure of the agent, even the geo-location, would all be reasonable varibles in company A deciding the commission for agent X.
