Can someone help? I want to know if is it necessary to add a credit card in paypal (for verification) before accepting payment in my paypal account or is it necessary to add a credit card in paypal (for verification) before tranfering the money to india.

A credit card is needed to accept the payments and to get a verified status in case of an Indian Paypal account. If you wish to withdraw money from your Indian Paypal account, you will have to link a US back account with your indian paypal account. Any other means to withdraw money to India are illegal.
Also you must have an Import Export License from the Govt. Of India incase you have a business paypal account.
