forming UK non-resident company

Hi!

I found a company that can form a UK company (with bank account, registered office, secretary) on behalf of a non-resident. Is such thing legal? Where can I get more info? Is this limited to EU nationals? They charge quite a bit but they are providing the secretary... ;)

I target the UK so it would make sense for clients and for cutting costs with wire transfer/cashing cheques (currently taking a whopping 45 days to clear!)

What about accounting? Can I trust someone to do it for me over there? Other taxes, expenses etc? I'll gladly go elsewhere to ask if you just point the way!

Sounds like you're looking at a limited company with nominee shareholders. However, there is no reason why you as a non national can't own such a company, just make sure that you're not operating from a "banned" country, or a country in which you are breaking local laws. You will still be liable for all taxes in the UK, and depending on your country taxes in you bring the money back in.
Also make sure that the structure is properly setup, you don't want these chaps to close your bank accounts and making off with your cash!
Your best bet is to take proper legal advice, it shouldn't cost too much for a basic appraisal.
