Property/House for sale by owner sites in the UK

Do they make a profit?

Hi,

Please can anyone tell me if there is any point to these type of sites. I have a client that wants to startup a site with that idea but it already seems to be overdone.

I don't here about it much in the media and wonder if its a waste of time. I know one company sunk 10 million £ trying to make it work, but they failed.

I think they are very useful, as I type this I am sitting in my house which I purchased off the net in December.

Not everyone has time to go trawling round estate agents, I certainly haven't!
