In the past I have been told that I can not get Name and Number caller ID on a T1 line. All you could get is number. Has that changed? Does anybody have a T1 phone system that has name and number caller ID?

Your carrier has to support that option and enable it for your account - nice post here:
Are you also using DID? That's where the problem really lies (or use to anyway). ISDN PRI is the way to go if that's the case.

The problem is talking to carries. Those sales people will promise you anything. I have been lied to so many times. Every time I talk to carries I have to argue for a while. Even back in the day they would swear that it supported caller ID name and number and they would always come back and say they don't. Caller ID is an analog service. I have a system that has a T1 slot that you just plug the digital line right into the system. My system has room for one more card and one T1 line. I need 2 new cards and the T1 is my only option for the 8 new lines. If I could get name and number I would get a T1 for all my lines.
