A prospect approached me with a task of creating a website based on a CMS. I finished the project. Now she is my customer. She wanted to have the websites based on a CMS so that she can update it herself, but she keeps sending me work to post. I don't mind - I get paid. The problem is that she wants too much out of CMS. She doesn't realize the limitations (even thought I explained).

I want to redesign the site and remove the CMS, but don't know how to approach it correctly. Don't want to scare her off.

The company deals a lot with internet related issues. I want to make an accent on accessibility, usability of the website (which CMS does not offer).

What would be your advise in this situation?

I thnik there is no way to answer this for you via a bulletin board. Only you know your relationship with your client. For me I would have made then sign a big contract at the start and would probably have done a paid workshop just to decide which CMS system to use.

But now you are down a set route, how about formalising the update process so that every time you get an update from her, she gets used to a formal notification of the job, time spent and technology limitations.

Then in six months you could show her that changing the system is cheaper for her than carrying on with a cms system that she never uses.
