Over in the affiliate program forum, this was posted:
Fed-ex overnight payments for checks over say $250 and or wire transfers(no wire or fed-ex and "super affiliates won't touch you

We have just launched a program for which I am hoping to attract super-affs (aren't we all ;) ) but I have never done wire transfers before.

We are based in the UK - has anyone had experience of doing wire transfers from the UK who can point me in the right direction?

Thanks

You need to talk to your bank on how to handle these. We get an advice whenever funds arrive by wire. Once it's set up, it's real easy.

Good luck,

We set up a separate account for wire transfers that always has a bare minimum balance - we didn't feel comfortable giving out our "real" banking information to people around the globe. As soon as money comes in, we transfer it out to our regular account.

Just a thought...

Thanks guys

I just spoke to my bank and they tell me that if I want to wire cash to the US, it will cost me 17 UK pounds every time (bloodsuckers!)

So I'm going to see if there's any other way to do it.

Cheers

This is how we send payments to foreign "super affiliates" and quite simply it works extremely well for us.

It reduces the exchange rate costs and allows us to make a UK BACS transfer (though I believe they accept CHAPS as well) and pay the affiliate in most (not all) countries via a wire transfer.

I would much prefer an automated system but for the few super super affiliates I work with it is extremely effective.

The service is from XE.com/fx.

I hope it helps :)

Probably you can think os using Paypal to Pay people. Most of the people like to use it. I find it good for myself.
