What's the best way for an agreement to sell someone else's?

I am in a project consisting in developing a website and selling someone else's products.

Would it be acceptable for him if I work under my own domain and website using his catalogue and shipping services?

What would be the percentaje? His margin is 40%, may I ask for 20%?

Should I afford all costs of marketing myself?

I just want to know opinions on this issue to know what is usually done and to know what would be acceptable for both parties.

Thank you!

For affiliate programs commissions of 15-25% are not uncommon. Also, it's usual for the affilaite to run the whole catalogue and shopping system offf their site with the merchant only providing payment system and stock and delivery.

So what you're describing falls well within standard affilaite agreements and seems very reasonable.
