Anyway...
say you're flat broke...but you do have the skill to succeed...you've checked out your competition in your area and its lacking...

so now...you want to start a company...and you're good in flash html..seo..programming...yada yada. and you also have a business partner who is good with music and sound design.

now....if you would like to hire some more people to help with the COPYWRITING..and maybe the programming....but you're broke....are there any known roads a person like myself could take? Any advice for me? Thanks in advance...and sorry for the bad typing. :)

Do what a lot of people here do (I know I do anyway) find people with the skill sets you need and team up on an ad hoc basis.

I agree with richardb.. Consult for some local companies until you can get on your feet. They just might farm-out full jobs to you eventually.. and then after that you can go it alone.

You may also be able to work on a consulting basis. Sell your expertise to the client and help direct their people what to do and how to do it.

Yea, go buy a book or two about online copywriting and read up. Then spend hours digging through the web to find information on SEO. Do trial and error for a few months, land at the #3 spot for your competitive keyword, and start making more money than you do working full time.

That's how I did it. Why hire anyone? My monthly overhead is $35 for hosting :o

I haven't even had a chance to register it as a legitimate business. Anyone have advice/tips on this?

Diversify. One keyword does not make a business, or at the very least it can make for a very short business.

I agree with Richard. If your concept is good, your business model sound, you should be able to find the support you need in investments -- whether that is someone's time, skills or other resources.
