Jesus that was quick I just bought a domain name after about 30min. it was online, I remember the last time a bought a domain it took 24 hours.

It happens, I think the big registrars might be quicker than the small ones, but I have no expertise on that.
I think you can have them functioning in even less than 30 mins, maybe even 5...

I just purchased another domain from yahoo domains and it was active in about 10-15 minutes - second time with Yahoo and both as fast.

I am getting newly purchased domains visible via http and ftp within about 5 minutes at the present time. I don't know what's going on, but it's fantastic.

Same here. It's beautiful 5-10 minutes. Works for DNS changes as well. Seems those days of 24-72 hours are gone!

No this is purchasing domains at the normal price, nothing special going on. Domains are visible in about 1 to 2 minutes.

As an Enom reseller I can register and have the domain online in less then a minute (with DNS working).
With other top level regstrars must be the same.

The last one I purchased was through Yahoo for $5.
