I have searched around to try to figure this out but cant find cler cut answers. I'm looking to acquire some domains which have a little bit of content on them today and rank very well for several terms associated with that content in many of the popular search engines. While I understand those rankings can change at any time for whatever reason I was under the impression that when the domain goes through a change of ownership that google in particular discounts a site PR and possibly all the ranking associated with that site.
I have analysed the raw log files to determine which sections of these sites/domains are actually being used (and how people are getting there) and its not from ads or any other bogus pump-and-dump types of things. Are there any other things i should be aware of when buying such skeleton sites?
