I would really like widgetadvisor.com but it is gone. I'd love some suggestions on generic names for consumer / general information sites.

I could use:

widgetcentral.com (available but a little too boring)
widgetguide.com (taken)
widget101.com (available).

suggestions are appreciated....

just an opinion...but nothing you can register now is going to be a great domain without you doing some major work on it. so...

try searching for one of your main phrases and take a look at results starting on page 10 or so. Look for a site that has a decent sounding domain but has been neglected.

Check out the whois and call them up and offer to buy it for a fair price. You get a decent domain and indexed immediately.
