I want to register lots of domain names and want to know where the cheapest place is with no change of ownership fees. Thanks in advance.

Depends on how many you want to buy. If you sign up as an enom reseller you can get them for $6.99. You get free DNS with them as well. They have a very nice interface.

ev1servers.net
$5.41 including tax.
However, only feature you get is change of nameservers. No forwarding.

DIRECTI.COM is also a very good option, you can get a very good price without bulk commitment, we are direct resellers of DIRECTI

sign up as a wildwest rellseller and the final price is $7.20. Enom seems a little shady to me...

enom a "little shady"
probably 90% of the domain registrars out there are enom resellers. I think wildwest/godaddy are too.

I can't tell if you meant to call GoDaddy "shady", or an "enom reseller". (Try writing in complete sentences, would you?). Either way:

1) They're not shady, just really tacky. And occassionally sleezy. And often clueless. But they're much too obvious about it to be "shady".

2) They're certainly not an enom reseller. GoDaddy is an independent registrar. That's why they're on the accredited registrar list [internic.net].

Well you are correct, I didn't type that very well. I was actually replying to the post above which had called Enom shady. I was disagreeing with that statement.

I have nothing against Godaddy at all. I have heard mostly good things about them. I was trying to make a point about calling enom shady, like they were some backstreet fly-by-nite outfit, which they are not.

thanks for asking,
robert

try ukreg.com - for UK c.£6 for two years and never had any problems transferring away when you sell domains.

I think .com are £9 per year which is probably not the nest price.

Enom is probably the best registrar (for resellers) that I have ever worked with, I don't get the earlier "shady" comment. If you can find a current Enom reseller willing to work with you, they can add you as a reseller account under them so you don't even have to come up with any deposits to get the lower domain prices.

Enom offers ALL the perks on their base price domains including masking (cloaking) and dynamic DNS updates (you can price these as seperate options for your clients if you want).

On the other hand my experience with WildWest is that they are overwhelmed with cutthroat resellers and their interface is horrible and slow.

By the way, while I am not a huge fan of Network Solutions, they will at least negotiate prices with you. Don't just take their first offered price. They are also offering free 2nd year on transfers now (so it's two years for the one year price). When I have to work with them for clients, I am rather impressed I can call their 800 number 24/7 even on holidays like Thanksgiving completely free.
