Hello

I have a domain which I wish to tranfer to my hosting company. Can I forward the name servers without actually transfering the domain over to them. I dont know if I change the primary and secondary name servers over or change the DNS.

To be honest I am concerned that I may #### it up and lose the name. What is the best method?

Cheers

The primary and secondary name servers ARE the DNS. In most cases, you can keep your domain registered with the current registrar (You're paying them for it anyway) while modifying the name servers to reflect a different primary and secondary DNS.

thanks dave.

My registrar has a confusing set of options, hence my uncertainty.

Yes, you would change the primary and secondary name servers to the nameservers that your webhost specifies to you.
