I was wondering what do you guys think, is it worth getting widget.nu domain? The sites main client/user/web surfer base is going to be USA people, however all the domains with the widget are already taken.

Or you think all the search engines would not really consider widget.nu in ranking race along with widget.com or widget.net

There is plenty of adult sites high in the serps with .nu .And they are usually expired domains as well.
From what I understand there is no discrimanation by the SE's towards Tlds at all

If you were a potential customer of your site, would you have faith dealing with a company who used .NU as its domain extension?

personally the furthest I have dabbled apart from TLDs and country specific such as .co.uk and .de has been .CC and that was for an informational site only.

.nu always makes me think of pornography and teenagers blogging. Perhaps at the same time, who knows. The startling revelation rings true, because no-one else actually owns a .nu. Ron Jeremy probably blogs on one, though.

Lol.. It is going to be interesting to see how Google and other search engines sees the site.. as this is a medical (and little bit about law related to it) related site.

hmm agree there is a lot of porn in .nu, but a long night when i followed links i found a lot of christian sweedish and/or norwegian sites, the .nu domains is quite good in scandinavian countries because "nu" means "now", and you then can make somme really good domain names in thoose languages, so i dont think its all just crap.
