my mouse

how do I get my mousepad AND external mouse to work simultaneously?

I sometimes use a laptop ( IBM ) and have a mousepad, joystick. I prefer an external plug in mouse, but notice that this excludes the other 2. Is there something I can do to be able to use all of them at once?

if you look under the 'Properties' for your pointing devices (they may be all in one place), you should find somewhere that lets you specify that you want to operate all three simultaneouly. I have an older laptop with a touchpad and and external mouse and that's how it's set up there.
