Alternatives to AdSense?

Are there any?

As I being making my new site I currently cannot have google AdSense up as I am not approved, however, on the first day of launching my site I want some type of skyscraper ad to fill he void that will be eventually be AdSense. Can you recommend any banner networks or other PPC that can possibly come to the rescue with the same 600x120 dimensions so I don't have to change my HTML. Also, I suppose another requirement would be a low amount of traffic as the site would be brand new.

Thanks,
Brandon

May look at some major companies in your websites industry. For example, if it is a site for widgets that travel, look at some widget travel companies that sell airfare for widgets, widget lodging, etc.

Most big companies will offer affilaites. Are you looking for text based ads or just anything?

This is a content only site, not selling anything (as of yet). I am looking for any ads to fill the void.

I think what he was saying was just find a company that is related to your content (whether or not your are selling anything or not).

If it is a content site about widget cars, then either find an affiliate program (possibly through commission junction) run by the biggest widget car manufacturer and get a skyscraper ad from there or try out another ad network like fastclick, tribalfusion, etc.

Burst Media also has skyscrapers on CPM/CPC basis.

What about ad*sonar? Exactly the same layouts as AdSense.

I don't know about their traffic requirements though.

If your site's content is about widgets that are actually sold by online stores, then consider phoning them up and doing a deal with your traffic.
