What are the common CPM prices?

Hello there!

I am launching a new project and want to run banner advertisement on it. Since this is the first time i am doing this, i am pretty unsure how much to charge for the advertisement. After doing a massive research on the net i've found CPM prices ranging from $0.5 to $50 for thousand impressions (ok, people who want to charge $50 must be crazy, but i saw $25 on many high-targeted websites).

My project will be pretty targeted on webdesigners and web-developers but also surfers who want to see beautiful stuff on the net. So, in general, it is oriented on the "web-people". Can anyone suggest me how much i should ask for?

Also, i thought about placing a static banner (468x60) on the homepage on a weekly basis - i wondering how much i should charge for it too.

I suggest asking for 2 to 5 Cpm or so. But try to sign up with adnetworks so you can have ads to run if you can't sell any ads at the higher price.
