Infoseek submissions

Pardon for asking in this forum area, there does not seem to be a section on Infoseek Go at this time.

What are people's experiences with Go / Infoseek in relation to crawling / multiple page submissions. First, do they crawl all your pages if you get one URL in?

Second, they say a Go Guide reviews each submission and I have seen a few sources (Web Position Gold etc) say you should NOT promote more than 1 page to them in any 24 hour period. I notice their old Infoseek url submission e-mail address is still active, and I sent 40 pages from the same domain to it. I got back an automated e-mail saying a Go Guide would review my submission and repeated I should only submit on url per domain.

I was stupid in that I submitted updates / new pages from a domain already listed with them. I should have done it with my new domain name to see what happens, but now I don't want to be spam listed by them. But at the same time I do not want only 1 page listed.

Does anyone have any first hand experience / advice on this one?

My experiences with Go indicate that it isn't very interested in deep crawling so submitting all pages is required. But I haven't really messed with Go a lot, so I might be wrong.

I think you're confusing the Go directory and the Go index. You can submit multiple pages to the Go index, but the Go directory is a different matter.

It also depends upon how long the page has been in infoseek. Most of my pages that are 'pre-directory' in Go, have ended up staying well ranked. I've not been able to get anything new in Go other than some directory listings.

Well I've just dropped them an e-mail (to their URL submission address) with 50 pages on it (the old limit) asking them to let me know if this is not alright.

I'll keep you posted!
