Deep-crawled by Alexa?!

Alexa recently just went through about 300 pages of my site, and my site only has about 300 pages!

Usually I see Alexa show up in the logs every once in a while, but never a "deep crawl" like this!

What's it mean?

They crawl to store your data & own it - [archive.org...]

Perhaps they'll do their own SE at some point, but for now, all they do is take a 'snapshot' which can be fun so you can look at 'internet history'.

Ohh, thanks jeremy... Had never seen Alexa deep crawl my site before, so I thought I may have entered some sort of Alexa "top 10 list" or been added to some new Alexa category or something. :) (Just wishful thinking) hehe.

Does Alexa do anything for your Google PR?

Only if you are listed in their top 500 rankings :) like WebmasterWorld, for example.
