I went to submit some of my pages on gigablast and it seems to be "temporarily down". It was working during the day. Does it get closed and opened regularly or is this a one off?

I've noticed it goes down every now and again, it doesn't usually be for very long.

Even if it is down, their spider is good at following links. Matt Dwells ( the guy behind the project) mentioned here he starts with DMOZ and Yahoo as seeds for the crawl cycles.
If you are listed there, odds are good you will be picked up not only by Gigablast, but pretty much any other engine on the planet. ( DMOZ, I mean...)
