Hello Everyone,
I have developed a site-level search engine and am looking for a hosting company to try to show it to the world (and to properly test it).
However it seems like most companies are either too expensive or have a policy not welcoming this sort of projects or/and are not scaleable.
Can you suggest someone who is reliable, scalable and is open to these kind of things -- for the time being I would need somewhere around and Intel P4 2Mhz with 512 M / 1 gig of ram, bandwith of around 100 gigs per month and disk space of 30-50 gigs.
If the project works out scalability will be very important as I don't want to move hosts right after a quarter.
The amount I have in mind is around $150-250 per month (as a starter).
Thank you for the help you can offer.
Regards
Istvan

I use rackspace.com and have found them to be pretty good. While they are a bit pricy, their service is pretty good. If I have a hardware problem, or screw something up, they are really quick to fix it. They've also given me free upgrades after a period of time when my stuff gets old.

Yes, they are one of those I am considering. The price tag is a bit scary though :(
