Now for the web search user this is, as was the Espotting deal announced earlier, not so cool. On the upside the PPC deals help KartOO to continue and expand the development of their technology.
Key sentence in the press release is:
KartOO is a technology of visual representation of meta searches. As such, the meta search engine is only the showroom of a series of products addressed to companies interested in the information retrieval of its data bases, intranet, etc.
I'm not saying they don't have every right to do this if that's what they think is best for them but I can do without the spin.
If so, that means they are getting what, a few million searches / month?
Looks like KartOO may be picking up steam -> though, like FAST's alltheweb, they seem included to make money on their showcase stuff...hmmm..
Defintely spin. Either way, it does show that they are picking up speed -> and that is interesting news.
Under this agreement, Overture’s Pay-For-Performance search listings are displayed on the left hand side of kartoo.com search results page.
If they are displaying the results off to the side
-> I highly doubt they are going to show anything but the stuff that will generate them revenue.
Always interesting posts in this forum. Thank you all for you interest in KartOO. "Only the Showroom" does not means "less important", but only that our software editor activity is very important. "Spin"?...Yes spinning along at a hundred...to our new version issued next March ;-).
