MSN Gets results from?

How did I end up in MSN? I am thrilled and curious

Hey all.. I just got an order that came from search.msn.com .. I am showing up in the "web pages" results... How did I get in MSN? I am not on Looksmart or Ink when I just looked... I think this came from google?

By the way.. I only see a couple of my pages in MSN. Will MSN spider my site by any chance?

Lucky you! Inktomi icluded some of your pages for free.

MSN is made up of lots of stuff -

directory - looksmart

the backfill is INK - they do use (or used?) directhit technology for their most popular results, and they also have Overture listings.

So one way or another, it's generally a paid result.

Ink may have included you recently for free, they just did a big update of their db.

It came from Inktomi.

I've never paid for my site to be included in Inktomi yet they spider all the time and we are getting traffic from MSN lately as well.

Hey all..Thank you all for such a quick reply..

I typed our domain name in ink.. it didnt turn up.. do I need to put a link: www.xyz.com or something special? because when I typed it into ink and looksmart.. it didnt turn up in either and it sure isnt an overture as I never touched that with this site...

Im confused how we ended up in MSN but overjoyed at it... this was a nice order we got from their. Any other way I could show up in MSN? It looks like only 2 or three pages are showing in their.. we do have an old domain name that is in MSN that has hyperlinks to our new site./. could this be it?

I am also concerned will MSN spider our site and include the other 2 thousand of our pages in their??? :) Is their a god afterall?? Sorry this has been a years worth of work and would love to see it all pay off.
