How stale are the results?

Zyborg has been spidering sites lately. This is the first zyborg crawl I've had.

Has wisenut been spidering since the beginning of the year or is this new?

What was wisenuts update period before LS bought them?

When was the last wisenut update?

I've seen wisenut crawl several times in the last month. However, how stale (or not) their index is I dont' really know.

When it became obvious the engine wasn't maturing as I'd hoped, I stopped paying attention...and that was a bit before LookSmart bought them out.

Though I will say that for a while, I loved their engine, and thought it got me better results than Google. The slowness, though, and the frequent 'service unavailable' was a let down, though.

The results are so stale they're moldy. I have sites that were rebuilt ten months ago that have been updated everywhere but in WiseNut.

And initially I too was fond of WiseNut, and I watched them closely for a while. They went through a period where they got hit by a bunch of spam attacks, which they reacted to and fixed... and then they went through a period of long inactivity.

When they do clean up the database, I hope they'll also fix the layout. The SERPs are really unattractive and hard to read... Some space in between each site returned would help a lot.
