At least, one can hope, eh? The guy seems to have put together some decent tech....however, most of the advanced algorithms are really based on link anaylsis of one kind or another...and as the guy said when he posted here, there has to be a lot of stuff in the db for that to take effect.
So, I must say, I'm looking forward to seeing exactly how well it works when it's a nice, big, stable database.

We are also getting slammed by them even though the page does not come up:

I'm not sure what, if anything, that means.

I added a URL, and less than 40 seconds later it was showing up in the index. Since it was a brand new page, just made up a few minutes ago, there is little doubt that it is almost instant spidering.
Could this be the one that kills the crappo SE's?
They just need to work on the relevancy of the results among other things. It would be very easy to spam and control Gigablast results as it is. I am sure they will work things out in the end ;)
