Much as I love Google, I am not nuts enough to wish all their competitors go away. No way do I want my clients, and me personally, to be at the sole mercy of the Almighty Google. Long live HotBot, Ink, Lycos, even lowly AltaVista.

Gidday folks,

Gotta agree with Beachboy.

Although Google is #1 for my searches now, I still like going over to Hotbot and Lycos to compare.

Used to get 50-100 referrals per week, now I'm lucky to get 50 per month.

Pity ... for the type of searching I do (travel and tourism related), they'll almost always turn up a clean set of results with a big enough variety of pages to make the visit worthwhile.

Beats me why they don't sproik themselves more to the newbies who think search means using whatever's on their desktop or over to Yahoo.

Cheers
JP

hah yes advertisement if they would only advertise to newbies.

'think your REALLY using a search engine - your not! everything you search for is tainted with paid listings - goto www.... and get real results.'

I think iwon captures the newb. market a while back with their tax commercials and million $ giveaway conmmercials.

Strange, I thought HotBot served pure Ink results?
