I was looking at my server logs and came across this. "qantobot" I took a look at the site and it looks like a new (very small) se. Are these sort of places worth submiting to, or are they to be ignored?

Unless I find some reason to have confidence in their marketing of themselves such as strong financial backing, a tie-in with a university, etc., I tend to dismiss them until they start sending traffic. It takes so much more than an algo and a spider to make it now.

If they can't actually get their add url to function correctly I think they are really not worth bothering about

Never heard of it. I have a recent list in my logs someplace of spiders that just do the ODP...they bug me, and are more often than not, leeches.

I'm not saying this one is the same. Just saying that there are lots of bots out there. Sometimes, it's best to not lose sleep over them :)

In case you are wondering, the test search I use is "fuzzy state machines" :) Look them up on WISEnut, or your engine of choice. You'll probably see some neat stuff.
