I've been waiting for others to join in on this one. RCJ, has there been a sequel? Or was this a one time only incident?

Haven't seen any (only watching a few logs) so perhaps others have seen them too?

Cut em some slack, it's still beta.

I know it's still beta, but it is good. I've actually switched my default page from Google to WISEnut. Even though they are in Beta, they are hands down, my personal favorite search engine.

I've gotten results from them that I didn't from google, more accurate pages, and more actual pages to sift through. This is why I wondered if more people had received referrals...then again, I probably only visit 10-50 sites a day through them, and mostly on the same lines.

I got one last week, so maybe this is a sign of life?

I picked it up on a page using extreme-dm. They haven't added the new engines to their tracking stats, so I'm just picking them up on the off-chance that they're in the short list of referrers.

I'll comment here that I take it as a positive omen that the referral I did see was for a travel-related subject. I want JohnQ to be aware of this one, not just academics and geeks.

>>Cut em some slack, it's still beta<<

I read somewhere that they are set to launch (I believe I remember) on Sept 5. I haven't been able to find an corroboration anywhere, though, so take this for what it is... an unsubstantiated rumor that might be worth following. Doesn't seem likely with the date being so close and no announcements anywhere.

Not JohnQ, but SuzyQ will do!

Just got a long email that started out with some nice news:
"My name is (-name-) and I found your site through a search
for (-search term-) at wisenut.com."

I can remember, some time back, posting to an email list something about Google, and people asking "What's Google?" It didn't take long for word to get out.

I was looking for something the other day, researching a topic, and much to my surprise, the most information I got was from a search at Wisenut. It just seemed for that particular topic the top listed sites were highly relevant, with very little "dilution." I decided at that point that Wisenut was definitely worth taking the time to look into.

I like the site and the results they give, but not always: some searches end up in hundreds of pages from the same site. Try: smart ip whois . I like Teoma better, even better than Google.
