goeureka is owned my telstra, the Australian Government telecoms company, and is indeed powered by AV. I think it is left over from the days when AV Australia was hanging of the Australian Yellowpages site. I think it was then a joint venture but I am not sure.

It is also designed as an Australian/New Zealand engine not unlike Anzwers.

As to the currency, I am with Mike in saying "Dunno". I will try to make some phone calls toimorrow and see what I can dig up.

<added>

It seems it is owned my Pacific Access, a subsidiary of Telstra.

"Pacific Access is a national, wholly owned Telstra subsidiary that manages two of Australia's leading brands, Yellow Pages® and White Pages™, as well as Australia's leading interactive mapping and guidance brand, Whereis™, and one of Australia's premier Internet search engines, GOeureka™."

So I will call Pacific Access and see what I can find.
