So, is excite now tracking their submissions via cookies?

Yes, I believe they are tracking submissions via cookies. (people say I occasionally talk to myself);)

Hi,

Excite asks for language, location and category on their add url form. My question is: Is this of any importance if the site is going to be accepted or not? If it is, in what way?

I know that they are using the looksmart directory so does anyone know why they are even asking for this information?

Thank you,

I would still submit to Excite, but I find that I have much better luck submitting manually. That being said, they still take forever to index a site. I have a theory, and, mind you, it's just a theory: Auto submitters don't work too well for excite because they ask for language, location, and category.
Don't take that one to the bank unless one of the more experienced posters to this forum concur.
