The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is conducting a formal investigation into alleged trading violations of stock in Internet search engine company Mamma.com. The Montreal-based company said Tuesday that a previously informal probe by the U.S. regulator into control of the company through undisclosed shareholdings "has recently been converted to a formal investigation."
