I wonder if this desktop search is as problematic as many said google desktop search is. Not in terms of search, but in logging "too much data" that can lead to possible threat.

Anyone know?

i am testing Copernic solution now. very nice, i have to admit it.

* stays in taskbar - very easy to type keyword and press enter
* if shows results quite fast
* indexes all disks, even network disks (good job Copernic!), google: you get big (-) here!
* sorts by last modification date, very nice
* quick preview

* its fast but it could be faster
* some font size problems if you use different than default windows settings

thats for the first day...

Mamma.com bought Copernic if I am not mistaken, right?

Mamma has in hand a letter of intent to acquire Copernic. How the revelation that AOL will license Copernic affects this who knows. Looks to be a good deal for Mamma.
