I have had my website indexed by Yahoo lask week and can easily find it when I seach by my brand. However, when I attempt this very same search at Altavista my site doesn't come up at all. Does anyone know how long before Altavista's database is updated with Yahoo's data?

Don't know how long it takes but the AltaVista search property is a play area for Yahoo! Search Technology. So it may depend on the next algo update.

It looks like the Altavista play area has gone Dutch! I just visited their main site and their advanced search, the whole thing is in Dutch, with the default radio button set to search Netherlands sites.
I always liked AV, but can't read Dutch. -LH

last year there were just 2 updates in altavista ...
larryh ..you got yourself a problem there ..it's in English (or whatever you set it for ) for the rest of us ..;)
