The Kapitaliser: when activated, this system memorises the search words, the sites visited and the requests which were successful. This personalises the results for subsequent searches according to the profile of the user’s interests.

The user has permanent access to this history, which enables him or her to easily find the sites found by previous searches.

This revolutionary function will above all enable the user to capitalise on the information he considers interesting by simply “adding / removing” them from an integrated favourites manager (file tree where each branch corresponds to a thematic favourites map). This capitalisation is accompanied by the automatic creation of a description of the site to which the user can add comments and notes. The favourites maps and their associated description files can be sent easily by mail (information sharing).

looks great, very interesting interface - but why soo many co.uk domains? For the couple of phrases I searched thats all I got? I think maybe I'm just missing some setting?

The interface is gorgeous but frankly I dont see anything in the quality of the search results that would make me want to use it instead of google.

Our of curiousity sake, how are you defining the word "successful"? If you are not at liberty to explain, I understand.

This is cool stuff. Just seems like people wouldn't use this UI too frequently - maybe in 2007. Always good to see someone pushing the envelope though.

And I agree about encouraging people to use alternatives. Whatever happened to rooting for the underdogs? It's not 2001 anymore - there are a couple of other engines that are just as good as Google now. Also, everyone acts like Google is the Apple of search, but really they're the Microsoft of search. They almost have a monopoly. We need to encourage the Apples of the world to make things interesting!

While the interface is awesome, I am underwhelmed by the search results and the map links. Maybe the keywords I tried were'nt suitable.

This is the first GUI of a search engine I've ever seen in my life! And that too, its fast! cool animations. Well done.

Whew! I was prepared to hate Kartoo for the animations and "whiz bang" attitude, but then I saw the results.

My site was at #1!

Actually, I also found a cool site that I wasn't even aware of in my category. So thumbs up.
