Gigablast 2.0 should add noticable speed gains. It increases the efficiency of the engine drastically. Some core procedures should run 10 to 50 times faster than before. Also, the index building processes should have much less impact on query response time.After Gigablast 2.0 is stable I plan to kick the spider code around a bit. It is having some problems. After that I might add support for PDF files and also maybe the Chinese language.
Anyone know if 2.0 is what we are seeing today, or if it still forthcoming?
