[gigablast.com...]

I hope this engine does well. If they could get a serious partner things could be good.

Nice new tools added. We've always done well there. They deserve more press than they get.

But the problem is speed of the spider: In about 3 years Gigablast has only indexed 200 million pages. Google indexes/updates about 20 million pages a day, in 10 days it can get upto Gigablast! I don't know in "3 years (Gigablast) compared to 10 days (Google)" I can't see how Gigablast has a chance to carry on, It has no chance... If "Matt D Wells" keeps believing in him self , the company can go on Loss...

I don't know where this '3 years' is coming from. As can be read in this thread [webmasterworld.com] the database was sometimes reset some 18 month ago, and it went in beta [webmasterworld.com] July last year.

Um, Sid - Google started in 1996 / they've been "at it" for 7 years...

Gigablast has been at it a lot less (time wise) and when you consider their db of 200 million to Teomas 1.2 billion, that is 1/6th the size of a large, publically traded search engine - touted here & other places as a serious "contender" to Google.

On top of that, Gigablast does have some distribution through meta engines - and a partnership in Scandanavia...:)

They are hardly "standing still"...and hardly, "suffering".

Try doing some reading before posting that the "sky is falling"...

Sorry , Gigablast . I apologise , Now I know all the META search engine's that take Feed's from Gigablast... and all the partnership's... Now I'm starting to look at Gigablast on the bright side...
