A simple search on mp3 reveals only 15 of the first 100 sites to be submitted in 2000, rest from Fall 1999. A search on just ILOVEYOU reveals six sites total.

Completely comatose. Our cherry directory entries, have been slowly losing referrals this year. They've dropped from 500-600 a day to 80-150 a day.

I have actually got 3 newish sites get good positions in Infoseek in the last 2 weeks. Only one of them was submitted to the directory and that took a month to appear, the other 2 were submitted 2 months ago via the addurl. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm getting some referrals from seek - about 100 a day. That is a fraction of what it used to be. Those directory listings are important.
