hello all i hope some one can help me
this is what im looking 4:
when some one enters a section on my site i want them to HAVE to enter there email address everytime the visit to continue to the webpage
i need that email addr to go into a mailing list script so i can send out a news letter (i also need the mail script)

ive look @ useing a just a mailing list (subscribe box) wich works the first time the person visits the site but the next time they enter the site and enter their email adds it says email address already exists.

so i guess what im actulay looking 4 is A password protected and mailing list

thanks 4 the help

Welcome to the forums, cellularguy.

I've not seen such a script ready made, but you could perhaps take the approach of using a session-limited cookie to force the user to enter their email address. In a nutshell, every page would check to see if the cookie exists, if not you'd redirect to the email entry form.

As for the duplicate email addresses problem, this would depend on what script you're using but it'd probably be fairly simple to turn off duplicate checking. What scripts have you tried?

Surely that script can be modified so that if the email address already exists it lets them in instead of giving an error. That sounds like it would solve your problems pretty quickly. If it's perl and you're interested in having me help you out, stickymail me. Otherwise, I bet you can find someone cheap at some site like scriptlance or rent-a-coder or elance or something.
