QuickTime clips. Do I need a server script?

Clips difficult or impossible to view on-line, e.g. causing browser havoc..

I've uploaded a few clips to remote host. But when trying to view, it's virtually impossible. First, nothing happens at all. Then 36Kb loads to browser. Then either the browser stalls, or it starts behave weird.

I'm not familiar with quicktime, but as far as I'm aware the streaming is done using Apple server software which comes with Mac OS X.

Might be that you have to offer the clips in downloadble format rather than streaming...
