Is there a way for a CGI script to get an index of all the files in a folder at a different server? I know there are ways to open specific files off of different servers, but is there something like a filelist?

What you're trying to do is impossible without either a script on the target server or a valid FTP/shell login.
Unless of course the server has some large security holes in which case it's not going to stay online long enough to be of much use to you :-)
