Accessing from outside of the server

Depending on what you are trying to do u can either curl or LWP::Simple package.

I just can't puzzle out what you mean. What exactly do you mean by "outside of the server"? What are you trying to accomplish?

I need to access an image hosted on a different server so that my server can resize the image and save it on my server.

1. Use LWP::Simple [search.cpan.org] to fetch the image from the server
   
2. Save the image on the local machine
   
3. Use Image::Size [search.cpan.org] to resize the image
