Can anyone recommend a good free calendar? It will be a country-wide performing arts calendar, so the ability to search as well as to list by date/ location/ type of event etc. would be great. Also a way for visitors to add their own events would be great (but not absolutely necessary).

Thanks!

Cheryl

Cheryl,

Maybe the first thing to be aware here is that, there is no "one shoe fits all" solution out there. If there is indeed anything, you or someone may need to "modify" whatever you find to suit or meet requirements.

Second - php + calender in google may yield some useful results.

Third - IMHO + FWIW - of the many calendars I have reviewed just recently, Webcalendar was one of the better ones. It's a pretty powerful and well documented multiuser web based calender. You would need to modify it to suit your needs though. HTH

Hello: thanks so much for your reply.

I ended up going with FrameCal, at least for the moment. It has pretty good features and with a few exceptions, has been quite easy to adapt for my purposes.

Regards,

Cheryl
