Hi,
Iīm searching for a site-of-the-day-script in php or perl. I canīt use mysql, but a textfile. It would be usefull, if I can use one single file for an unlimited count of site-of-the-day-entrys. I want to use my own html-design.
So, Iīve searched an hour and I canīt find anything. Would be really glad, if someone knows a source.

Ya, I have. The problem is: Most of the scripts bases on mysql (which Iīm not allowed to use by my provider) or canīt handle unlimited days in Database (min 150).

Do you have an idea?

How about a little more info on what you actually need. Is it going to cycle through these sites and have a different one everyday then just have a list of the old ones?

What data do you need to store about them?

You could just grab one of the ones you found and adapt it to use flatfiles instead of a db.

Yes, jatar_k, the adaption is the problem, cause I can speak delphi, but perl and php are foreign languages for me. I can work a bit and change a few lines, but I canīt make a whole function.
So, what do I want to do: You have a website. On this site is a textfield wich changes every day. It consists of a layout-table with vars in it. These vars are taken from a normal textfile (1 line - one day). I donīt need history. Randomization would be nice, but I could it also do with delphi offline.

Got an idea? Would be great.
