I'm only wondering because, according to some of the research and programming I'm trying to learn, I may qualify as an author of a "bot".

This to me is laughable, because what I've done isn't too sophisticated, or complex...and I thought that bots had to be something more along the lines of autonomous things, rather than user instigated software?

Thanx,

Han

I couldn't give you a definition, but I would say in the looses sense an auto-submitter is a bot.

thanks for the help...

sort of kicking around the idea of redoing my resume, and was considering adding "authored x bots" as part of it...

even though I'd be hard pressed to do the programming required, I am through the "learning perl book now, and on to "Programming Perl"

Must say, 2 very excellent books.

About the bots, though, I still haven't made it all the way through the stuff at botspot, but that is one incredible site.

Cheers,

Han
