need software to emulate yahoo groups

I'm looking for software to load on my own server to run a discussion board like yahoo groups. Specifically, I need the ability to moderate users - not forums, the users themselves. I want all new users to automatically be set as moderated and I want to be able to set trusted users as unmoderated. The goal is to have an unmoderated discussion forum where the "regulars" can post freely, yet keep out the spammers and trouble-makers.

Any recommendations?

That's the exact purpose of a project that has occupied a lot of my time lately. I don't have the feature you want yet, but I'll put it on my 'to do' list. For my closed-membership group, the software has already replaces Yahoo!, but we don't need moderation. (Unless you take that statement out of context, of course ;))

If you want to be sticky-mailed when I get this ready for general consuption, I will. It might be a while, though, so keep looking. (Most administration still has to be done by directly manipulating the underlying database in psql, still.)
