Hello everyone,
This was the most appropriate forum I could find for my question - apologies if I'm wrong though.

Can anyone recommend any *Java* based discussion board / forum software?

Preferably open source and zero cost, but I'd like to hear about any.

TIA,
the boy duck

Theres the Jive forums which Sun produce and use on their own site, open source (not as nice as ww forums though ;-) but lots of features):

apart from that a search on google should turn up some stuff.

Thanks ppg, I'll check Jive out.

Do you know if the WmW forums software is open source with some cool license like GNU?

Sorry, it's not GNU licensed or Open Source, and not yet available for commercial distribution.

I do have to say though, that it's absolutely magnificent. There's no one more intimately acquainted with what an online community needs in the way of software, and every feature imaginable has been put into it by Brett. Not only that, it's so intuitive and easy to use that working with it is as simple as cooking a TV dinner in the microwave.
