After submitting a few url's to several search engines, whatuseek started failing and when I looked at the result page it said "Please stop using this submission program immediatley" I think I set this one up myself in the engine.ini file below is the information I used:

[ENGINE11]
Name=WhatUSeek
Search=http://www.whatuseek.com
Referer=http://www.whatuseek.com/addurl-tableset.shtml
Submit=http://www.whatuseek.com/cgi-bin/addurl.go?url=[URL]&email=[EMAIL]&news_optout=1&submit=Add+This+URL

Can anyone advise me on this, can it be solved sto whatuseek doesn't detect the collective. And will this happen with the rest of the engines?

Cheers

Funny, I just plugged in a url and a bunk email into the submit string and did a GET through lwp without a UA or referrer. It seemed to work fine. I also treed it with a browser UA and referrer - it worked that time too. Perhaps it is your
submission pattern or the IP you are using?

Gilly, I've not tried it, but it all looks good to me. Did you change the agent to something other than the default? Where you submitting to fast, or too many from the same ip?

Although it doesn't address your issue above, I've put a small util online at:

[searchengineworld.com ]

That will read any form value you send.

You can use it by editing a search engine submission form to point the submission at the above url. It will spit out a small chart of what form values where sent to it.

For example this url [searchengineworld.com].

I've gotten quite a few requests to build se ini values for people and I thought it might help some folks. (it doesn't in this case, the submission setting above are ok here).
