I'm looking for a good & cheap alternative for Visual Studio dot Net (Expensive!!) , especially the web site building part (asp.net). Do you know of such application?

There are some websites which had very good editors for classic ASP, bearing in mind that Visual InterDev was around they manage to carve out a niche, so you might want to track one or two down, Insofar as i'm aware, giving URL's or names of products is a no-no here, but I havent read anything saying i cant direct you there ;) Just goto google, type in 'asp net editor', and the first few results are of editors that are pretty good from what I've heard.
Bear in mind that if you already have InterDev you can get an upgrade for around $500 with a rebate of $150 or something like that. The end cost was around $350 after rebate anyway, and it's the last number in the calc that matters <grin>
